To explore the topic of menopause and link it to safe hormonal contraception in the perimenopausal years.
To address reproductive and contraceptive issues in perimenopause women in order to assist health care providers when they counsel about whether to continue or stop hormonal contraception in perimenopause.
Given the developments in the field of contraception, efficient and safe forms of contraception are available for almost every client. Agreeing with experts, the use of hormonal contraception in perimenopause is a chalenge for both doctors and women. Hormonal contraception is a wide ranging topic that continues to be approached on an emotional level rather than scientific level.
The updated practical guidance has been developed to help the medical professionals to enable patient’s informed decision about appropriate contraceptive method.
