Design and methods. 42 women at the age of 18-38 are involved in the research. The pill Qlaira containing estradiol valerate and dienogest is prescribed for the period of 6 months. Results. Analysis of the dynamics of anthropometric measurements showed no increase of body weight index, no statistically significant changes regarding glucose, insulin, HOMA, triglycerides, cholesterol, high-density lipoproteins in blood serum (p>0,05) at the time of taking Qlaira. Conclusions. The combined oral contraceptivel Qlaira can be taken by patients with MD for the period of six months without any risk of gaining weight and getting carbohydrate and lipid metabolism disorders.
